Welcome to the fortieth episode of the Short Science Podcast!

Join Elizabeth and Emma for all the very best science in brief.

We kick off the podcast with a few prominent science news headlines from the week including:

Emma kicks off the capsules this week with a Capsule Science looking at the causes and mechanics of landslides.

We hear the diagnosis and treatment of laryngeal cancer from Barrie Leyshon, Ricard Simo and Claire Twinn.

Elizabeth rounds off the capsules this week looking at the concepts of 'exposure' and 'shock'.
